Kapwing runs out of credits. We run the whole chain.
That's the Kapwing alternative you searched for. Kapwing is a solid browser editor with an AI clip maker and subtitles - and a single monthly credit pool that every AI feature draws from. When it empties, the AI features stop until the next cycle. Stargaze Studio is one unified flow with no credit meter: a single upload comes out the other side as finished, published content on every platform, and the work starts while the file is still uploading.
Kapwing covers a slice. Stargaze runs all six as one flow.
Publishes to
Official APIs where they exist, our own publishing agent where they don't, including platforms like Patreon and HeroHero that have no public API at all.
Don't take our word for it. Watch the thing work.
The full walkthrough: one upload going in, and clips, covers, copy and articles coming out the other side.
We start before your upload finishes
Most tools queue: upload completes, then processing begins, then you wait. Stargaze works on the stream as it arrives — transcription, clip detection and copy are already running while the progress bar is still moving. You get usable output in minutes, not after a coffee break.
One tool instead of four plus a scheduler
A clipper, a caption app, an editor and a scheduler don't add up to a workflow — they add up to four exports, four logins and four bills. Stargaze runs the whole chain from one upload: clips, covers, platform copy in your voice, written articles, and publishing.
What you get that Kapwing doesn't do
Editing is one step of the six between a recording and a published post.
- 01
No credit pool to run dry
Since late 2025 Kapwing draws every AI feature from one shared monthly allowance - 10 credits on Free, 1,000 on Pro, 4,000 on Business - and when it empties the AI features stop until the cycle resets (as of September 2026). Stargaze has no credit meter during early access, so the size of your week doesn't decide whether the tool works on Thursday.
- 02
Output starts while you're still uploading
Kapwing works on a file once it has finished uploading. Stargaze processes the stream as it arrives, so transcription, clip detection and copy are already running while the progress bar is still moving.
- 03
Where they stop at export, we start
Covers, platform copy written in your voice and full articles all come out of the same upload. No second tool, no extra export, no copying between tabs.
- 04
Publishing that covers where you actually post
Kapwing can share an export straight to Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, which is real and worth saying. It does not connect to Instagram, LinkedIn or X (as of September 2026), so the three that matter most to a lot of creators are still a manual upload. Stargaze publishes to all six through official integrations and reaches Patreon and HeroHero through an AI agent.
Without us, still on you afterwards
- 01Design a cover for every clip, sized for each platform
- 02Write platform-specific copy in your voice, ten times over
- 03Export, then upload by hand to 5-10 places

Every AI feature draws from one monthly credit pool - 10 credits on Free, 1,000 on Pro, 4,000 on Business - and once it's empty the AI features stop until the next cycle rather than degrading gracefully. The free tier exports up to 4 minutes at 720p with a watermark, which is enough to try the editor and not enough to test it on a real recording.

Questions people actually ask
Kapwing is an editor with AI helpers: you bring a video, you improve it, you export. Stargaze is the whole chain - one upload becomes clips, covers, platform copy in your voice and written articles, and then gets published. You feel the difference after the export, when Kapwing is done and the posting still isn't.
The AI features stop until the next billing cycle - and on the lower plans you can't top up mid-cycle, you upgrade or you wait (as of September 2026). Stargaze has no credit meter during early access, so a heavy week and a light week cost the same: nothing.
Yes. Subtitles are generated for every clip automatically as part of processing, in 11 languages, and they're laid out to stay readable after each platform crops the frame.
Deep manual editing is the one box we leave to editors. What we replace is the two to four hours between a finished recording and a published post - the part of the week that never shows up in the edit.
Yes - the interface, the transcription and the copy. Clips, subtitles, covers, platform copy and articles all come out in Czech from a Czech recording.
